Ottumwa Public Library’s Children and Teen Summer Reading Program:
June 1 – August 12, 2022
Program Ages:
Children’s program: 0-12
Teen Program: 13-18
How it Works:
- Starting June 1st register for the Summer Reading Program on the Beanstack site at ottumwapubliclibrary.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack app. You can also register in person at the Ottumwa Public Library.
- Pick up your registration material at the library. You will receive a paper reading log, a lanyard, and your registration badge.
- For each hour read and logged, and each activity completed and logged, you will earn a badge. Badges can be picked up from the children’s desk at the library.
- When you reach the halfway point, which is 5 hours of reading, you will receive a book to keep that can be picked up at the library.
- Once you have read for 10 hours you have completed the Summer Reading Program! You will receive a Summer Reading prize bag, a second book to keep, and entry into the kids or teen grand prize drawings.

- Tuesday, July 26th at 10am – Wapello County Conservation – Animal Tracks
- Tuesday, August 2nd at 10am – Wapello County Conservation – Native Pollinators
